In gegenseitiger grosser Achtung verfolgen sie die Entwicklung des andern aus der Ferne (Josep-Maria Balanyà wohnt in Brüssel und Barcelona, Katharina Weber wohnt in Bern) und treffen alle paar Jahre wieder zu gemeinsamem Spiel zusammen.

The Catalan Josep-Maria Balanyà and the Swiss Katharina Weber have known each other since their student days in Bern, he at the Swiss Jazz School, she as a classical musician at the Conservatory. But both have in common the interest over stylistic boundaries and the joy of improvising with musicians from other disciplines. In mutual respect, they follow the development of the other from a distance (Balanyà lives in Brussels and Barcelona, Katharina lives in Bern-Switzerland) and meet again regularly in concerts for a common game.
